Easthampton Overdose Awareness Day Candlelight Vigil 2026

“We come together because someone is missing.”

Peter Babineau, the Director of Learn to Cope West, hosts this year’s Easthampton Overdose Awareness Candle Light Vigil 25 years after the first Overdose Awareness Vigil was held by Sally Finn of Melbourne, Australia. This year’s theme ‘25 Years On’ highlights the importance of communities coming together to remember those no longer with us.

The vigil features speeches from Homar Gomez, Koni Denham, Steve Cross, John Velis, Kathi Cotungo as well as a touching song performed by Peter Babineau.

-Hosted by the Easthampton Public Health Department, Learn To Cope West, Hampshire Hope, and DART.
